DualType (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a type foundry based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have when you visit dualtype.design or buy our fonts.

What we collect. When you buy a font or create an account, we collect basic details like your name, email, billing country or region, and license holder information so we can process your order and keep a record of your license. We don’t store full card numbers, Stripe processes payments for us. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email with Mailchimp so we can send updates (you can unsubscribe anytime). Like most sites, we also receive technical data such as IP address, device or browser type, pages visited, and error logs to keep the site secure and reliable.
Why we use this information. We use your data to run the website, deliver purchases and licenses, send receipts and important notices, answer support requests, improve performance, prevent fraud and abuse, and—only if you opt in— send you news about releases and events.
Cookies, in short. Cookies are small files that help the site work.
- We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, secure forms (CSRF), remember your cookie choices, and run Drupal. Without these, the site won’t function correctly.
- With your consent, we use analytics cookies to understand what’s working so we can improve the site.
- With your consent, marketing cookies may measure newsletter sign-ups or campaign performance (for example, Mailchimp forms).
- During checkout, Stripe may set cookies or similar technologies to process payments safely and prevent fraud.

What we share (and with whom). We share information only with service providers who help us operate the site and fulfill orders, or when the law requires it. Typical providers include hosting and email services, Stripe for payments, and Mailchimp for newsletters. They may process data in other countries under their own safeguards. We don’t sell personal information.
How long we keep it. We keep order and licensing records for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and customer support. Other data is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then deleted or anonymized.
Security. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No system is perfect, but we work to keep your information safe. Stripe handles sensitive payment data with strong, industry-standard security.
Your choices and rights. You can:
- access, correct, or delete certain information;
- object to or limit some types of processing;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it (for example, newsletters);
- export your data where applicable. Your options depend on where you live (for example, Mexico’s LFPDPPP/ARCO rights, GDPR in the EEA/UK, or CCPA/CPRA in California). Children. Our services aren’t for children under 13. If we learn we’ve collected data from a child, we’ll delete it.
